You may have heard about the Bill the Government is putting through Parliament, bringing in emergency measures to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak. This legislation is time-limited to 2 years and will be used only if required. Meaning that measures can be switched on and off as necessary. It has been decided that changes to legislation might be necessary in order to give public bodies across the UK the tools and powers they need to carry out an effective response to this emergency.
