Social Security in Scotland – The consultation is open until the 28th October 2016

Scottish Government

The Scottish Government is publishing a consultation on social security in Scotland, to gather views and inform future decisions, including the development of the forthcoming Social Security Bill. Including proposed changes to Carers Allowance and Disability benefits.

The Scottish Government is committed to working with people across Scotland, to determine how best to use the new social security powers which will be devolved by the Scotland Act 2016. We believe that there should be opportunities for everyone to participate in the debates and decisions.
